Millimeter wave radar sensor human perception makes the toilet more intelligent. Intelligent toilet system is an innovative mode based on sensor technology, Internet of things, cloud platform and big data application, aiming to provide people with better, efficient, convenient and comfortable services. Smart toilets include technical means such as usage guidance, environmental monitoring, equipment management, energy consumption management and cloud integrated management, which are suitable for public places such as high-speed service areas, gas stations, airports, railway stations, tourist attractions, hotels, shopping centers, schools, hospitals and office buildings.
The service object of smart toilet is people, so whether it can be truly "intelligent" depends on the accurate perception of people. For example, the toilet use guidance function needs to detect the passenger flow of the toilet and the occupancy of the toilet space through intelligent sensors, and then let users and managers intuitively understand the occupancy of each toilet, the third toilet or the maternal and infant room through interactive display or APP, so as to improve the user experience and the cleaning management of the toilet.
Existing personnel's limitations on detection means involve personnel detection, which mainly includes the following perception means:
PIR infrared human motion sensor is cheap, but its disadvantage is that it cannot detect static personnel. When indoor personnel move relatively weak or motionless, it will lead to detection errors. In addition, toilet air conditioning, ventilation fans, indoor and outdoor temperature changes will also lead to false positives.
Infrared ranging sensor is generally installed above the toilet position, through the ranging changes to determine whether someone occupied. The disadvantages of the scheme are short ranging range, low ranging accuracy, inaccurate black object identification, easy to false alarm, installation height is limited to 2 meters.
Single point ranging laser sensor is a relatively novel means of perception, similar to the infrared ranging sensor, also through the installation of the toilet above the obstacle, detect the distance change to determine whether it is occupied. The problem of single point ranging laser sensor is that the detection range is small, can only cover the 3-5cm radius circle area directly below the sensor, so personnel deviation will lead to ineffective detection. In addition, this will also bring challenges to the actual layout of the works, as there are usually lights, exhaust fans and other facilities above the common toilets, resulting in the requirements and limitations of the actual construction.
Based on the new generation of 24GHz intelligent human body technology presence sensing millimeter wave radar sensor, by virtue of the technical advantages and research and development accumulation in the field of millimeter wave radar sensor research and development, the introduction of 24GHz millimeter wave radar intelligent human body presence sensor, which solves the many shortcomings of traditional sensing technology often used in smart toilet solutions.
Different from the traditional moving target detection technology, millimeter wave radar sensor adopts the technology based on high resolution point cloud imaging, which can form three-dimensional point cloud data in the detection space, and then combines with back-end machine learning intelligent algorithm to identify and judge whether there is detection of personnel. Through actual verification, the accuracy can reach more than 99%, basically reach the level of zero false positives and zero missed positives.
Millimeter wave radar sensor sensing radar has the following advantages:
1. High detection accuracy, no matter static, micro movement or athletes can achieve accurate detection;
2. No privacy, sensitive issues, no lens design;
3. Ultra-low power consumption, radiation amount is only one tenth of Bluetooth, safe and harmless to human body;
4. Long detection distance, suitable for various installation heights;
5. Detection range can be set freely, suitable for different sizes and shapes of the space area;
6. Free from smoke, dirt, low light, heat source and other environmental obstacles, without any maintenance;
7. Beautiful and can be hidden behind non-metallic materials such as wood or plastic ceiling.
Millimeter wave radar sensor intelligent human presence sensing radar has been successfully applied to a number of smart toilet projects to achieve toilet occupancy and human flow statistics. Its personnel testing accuracy and easy implementation has been recognized by partners and customers.
